Three years ago today-August 21-Mark and I exchanged vows on the beach in Waimanalo Bay, on the isle of Oahu. It was magical. We stayed for eight days, enjoying the sand, the sun, the surf, the food-the whole Hawaiian experience. Tonight we'll celebrate with Thai food and champagne and strawberry shortcake/cheesecake( I'm still deciding which to make).
It's been a fun three years since then-we've traveled, totally rehabbed the house, and made lots of memories here in OR. We are MORE than ready to move, though, and start the next chapter in our lives.
We've had plans to move to San Diego as soon as this house is sold for a year now. We had to wait a year for IRS reasons (M was a new home owner, had to live here three years for loan purposes, etc).
After we married, we began designing our ideal life-near the beach, in or near a big city with opportunities for me to teach in a private setting while returning to university and getting a PhD-preferably before I turn 100. Mark just wants the availability to surf on weekends again, LOL.
We recently had a close call-we accepted an offer, waited for inspection, only to have the buyers back out ( they decided they wanted more land than our 1/4 acre). Drat and double drat!
That's happened twice; maybe the next one will be lucky number three? Fingers crossed, people!
Last night's full moon-my camera battery was wonking out, so it kept the shutter open a looooooooooooong time-a happy little accident is the heart shaped moon right over our house :)
Totally unretouched-no filters, just cute, IMHO
Remember, it's NOT fall yet-
even if my Casper pumpkins are growing like mad!
